Rembrandts Art Club Sponsors Regional Art Show
The Wisconsin Regional Art Association will hold a non-juried exhibit at the Wild Rose Lions Club, 1100 S. Main Street, Wild Rose, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 2, 2012. This year's judge for this show and competition will be Carolyn Rosenberger of Iola, Wisconsin. Rosenberger is an accomplised artist and art educator. She is especially well versed in watercolor painting, and her works have been accepted by over 200 exhibitions in the midwest. In addition she displays at her own Green Tree Studio in Iola.
A workshop will be given by Rosenberger and will run from 10:00 through noon on the day of the show. The workshop, which will feature the use of watercolor with rice paper, will be provided to all entrants at no additional charge. After a lunch break, Rosenberger will critque and evaluate one individual piece from each artist.
This show is sponsored by the Rural Rembrandt Art Club, in conjunction with the Univiersity of Wisconsin-Madison. Applications for this show are due by Saturday, May 26, 2012, and should be mailed to show coordinator Lee Fenendael at PO Box 115, Ripon, WI 54971, along with the entry fee of $20 made payable to the Rural Rembrandt Art Club. Drop off day is the day of the show, June 2, between 8:00 and 10:00 am at the Wild Rose Lions Club.

This show is open to all non-professional artists over 14 years old. Work
must be original, no molds or patterns from another artist may be used. All media are accepted: oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, sculpture, fabric, metal, glass, wood, digital, etc. Digital art work, prints, or photographs are eligible, but not giclee reproductions of paintings.
Each participant is allowed to submit 3 pieces of art, which must remain on display until 3:00 pm the day of the show.
Recipients of State Awards will be invited to display their entries at the University of Wisconsin-Madison State Art Exhibit & Conference held in September. Additional prizes will be awarded at that time.
