Rural Rembrandts Announce Annual Show Winners
Wautoma's World War II Memorial Building was a happening place July 17 as people took advantage of a warm summer Sunday to enjoy the Rural Rembrandt's 63rd Annual Show. The competition was open to both club members and the community, with a Children's Art category, plus art pieces from the Redgranite Correctional Facility. Event Chair was Cath Eckart and Registrars were Stephanie Walter and Ginny Jungwirth. Show Judge was artist and art educator Judy Gosz, of Bowler, Wisconsin.
An award ceremony was held at 1:00, and the following prizes were given: Best of Show, Kurt Skyba; People's Choice, Janet Woodrich; Oil Painting, 1st Place, Patsy Radke, 2nd Place Kristina Hauk, 3rd Place, William Dean, and Honorable Mention, Jean Doubek. Acrylics, 1st Place, Sue Delain, 2nd Place Kriss Boeck, 3rd Place, Nancy Smith, Honorable Mention, Laura Langenhorst. Watercolor, 1st Place, Ryan Radke, 2nd Place, Nancy Smith, 3rd Place, Kathy Techmiller, and Honorable Mention, Cath Eckart. Pastel category, 1st Place, Helen Jensen, 2nd Joan Cason, 3rd to Rachel Pavlic, and Honorable Mention, Karen Livingood. Drawing, 1st to Janet Woodrich, 2nd Jennifer Kutchenriter, 3rd, Sue DeLain, Honorable Mention, Karin Livingood. Mixed Media/collage, 1st Place to Kathy Techmiller, 2nd to Lauren Radke, 3rd, Pat Spear, and Honorable Mention, Selma Gunn. Berlin Library Rural Rembrandt Exhibit 8/1/2011
An exhibit of watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and oil paintings by five prominent area artists opened this week at the Berlin Public Library, 121 W. Park Avenue, Berlin. The display features pieces by Rural Rembrandt members Audrey Bunchkowski, Karin Livingood, Kristina Hauk. Ginny Jungwirth, and Joan Cason.
The exhibit continues through September 30, and the library is open Monday through Saturday. The display is located in the entry way gallery area.
